! DISTANT EARTHQUAKE - TSUNAMI WARNING !

This is a Civil Defense message for Tuesday 07-29-2025 at 04:16 PM.


The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has issued a TSUNAMI WARNING for the Island and State of Hawaii due to a 8.7 magnitude earthquake that occurred at 07-29-2025 01:25 PM HST near Coast of Kamchatka, Russia. 


A TSUNAMI WARNING means an earthquake has occurred that has generated a destructive tsunami.


The estimated time of arrival is 07-29-2025 07:17 PM HST.


Those in the Tsunami Evacuation Zone, please complete evacuation by 6:15pm.


The following locations are opened as Public Evacuation Shelters; Pu`ueo Community Center, Panaewa Park, Kea`au Armory, Pahoa Community Center, Ka`u District Gym, Na`alehu Community Center, Yano Hall, Kealakehe H.S. Gym, Waimea Community Center, Hisaoka Gym, and Honoka`a Gym.

Complete evacuation by 6:15pm.
