A total of 14 educators from Kua O Ka Lā Public Charter School in Hilo and Ke Kula ʻO Nāwahīokalaniʻōpuʻu Iki Lab Public Charter School in Keaʻau had their curated lists fulfilled as part of the employment and human resources administration company’s annual Back-to-School Drive.

Fallen hero: Maui Police Officer, Suzanne O remembered as compassionate and genuine

Maui police have identified the fallen officer from Friday night's fatal shooting in Pāʻia as Officer Suzanne O. Officer O began her service with the Maui Police Department in 2020, first working in the Kīhei Patrol District before moving to the Wailuku Patrol District in December 2021.
